Hiking in Martinique
With more than 180 kilometres of marked trails, Martinique is a privileged destination for hiking enthusiasts and offers hiking tours for all levels. Depending on what you're looking for, you can either climb to the Gorges de la Falaise and end your small hike with a refreshing swim or climb the steep slopes of the impressive Mount Pelée which culminates at 1395 meters. Our favourite activity is the Trace des Caps, a beautiful 27 km hike along the Atlantic coast on the South of the island with a view of the island's most beautiful beaches and coral reef. Divided into small sections, this walk can be done in several different stages. For very experienced walkers, the Pitons du Carbet is an 8 km hike that allows to reach several peaks between 1000 and 1200 meters with narrow and steep passages but the panoramas of the island are absolutely stunning. Discover la Martinique!
